The main purpose of the conference was to introduce the participants of the conference with the project, its activities, the materials developed by the project’s member countries and the results of the project in general. The project’s management team and the representatives of the involved educational institutions evaluated the results of the two major project activities:
– development of the teacher professional development program and working material (modules/worksheets) for the education of the teachers of pre-school educational institutions and primary schools, SEN specialists, and
– various activities of trained teachers for work with pupils with reading difficulties and their families.
The project’s administrative manager A. Kalvane provided information on the project, its aim, activities, member countries, materials and videos developed within the framework of the project.
The project’s manager in Latvia introduced the attendees with the project activities in Latvia: the developed materials, pupils’ and parents’ surveys, the process of the seminars for the teachers’ and SEN specialists’ professional development, the activities carried out by the teacher with children with reading difficulties, and the further plan for the dissemination of project results.
The representatives of all the educational institutions involved in the project gave their views on the project, the benefits of the project: some have had prepared presentations, others spoke orally, without any presentations.
